Therefore, it is important that the information is processed securely and properly when, for example, you have provided it in connection with a donation, registration for a lecture or event, subscription to the newsletter, or in connection with the purchase of merchandise from us.
Depending on the specific circumstances and when relevant, we may collect the following information about you:

- Social Security number (CPR number)

- Campaign history

Purposes of Collecting Personal Data
When we collect and process personal data, it is for the following purposes:
- To handle your donation and any tax reporting to the Danish tax authorities (SKAT)

Storage and Processing of Personal Data
We take good care of your personal data when we collect it. The information is limited to trusted employees at Land of Hope, and we only process personal data about you that are relevant to the purpose for which we are processing them.
We retain your payment information for 5 years from the date of payment for accounting purposes (GDPR Article 6(1)(c)).
We disclose personal data to authorities so that you can receive tax deductions for your donations unless you have not requested this. Additionally, we disclose personal data to Nets in connection with the establishment of payment service agreements.
Your Rights
Under data protection rules, you have a number of rights regarding our processing of your personal data.
Right to Information and Access
You have the right at any time to be informed of what personal data we have collected, stored, and processed about you. You also have the right to access the personal data and to know the purpose for which they were collected. If the personal data about you are incorrect, you have the right to have them corrected.
Right to Correction and Deletion
In special cases, you have the right to have information about you deleted before our normal deletion time. In several cases, you also have the right to have the processing of your personal data restricted. This may be the case, for example, if you believe that your personal data are not correct. The restriction consists of us only being allowed to retain your personal data.
In certain cases, we are legally obligated to process personal data about you. This may be, for example, for the purpose of documenting transaction trails and similar according to the Accounting Act. We are required to retain accounting material for five years from the end of the accounting year to which the accounting material relates. It may also be in connection with reporting to authorities so that you can deduct your donation to Land of Hope. Therefore, there may be cases where we cannot fulfill your request to be deleted, for example.
Right to Withdraw Consent
If our processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting us.

If you wish to complain about our processing of your personal data, you can contact us. You can also file a complaint with the European Data Protection Board, which is the authority in Europe responsible for supervising data protection.
