New partnership with Spring Copenhagen
Land of Hope has started a heartfelt partnership with the Danish design brand Spring Copenhagen. Together we bring Nordic design and compassion into one small wooden figure: the cat Hope.
For every figure sold, Spring Copenhagen donates all profit to Land of Hope’s work – so we can rescue more children.
A shared mission inspired by Hope
The little wooden cat Hope carries a big story. She is inspired by a real girl.
A girl who, at only one and a half years old, was accused of being a witch and left on the street to die. But today she plays safe and free at the Land of Hope Children’s Center in Nigeria.
Her name is Hope.
The cat’s name is Hope.
Together they are now on a shared mission: to raise funds for Land of Hope’s important work in Nigeria, so more children like Hope can have a future.
There is always hope
Even though Land of Hope was born out of the fact that more than 15,000 children in Nigeria are accused of witchcraft every year and left to a terrible fate, the organization is not built on sorrow and tragedy.
Quite the opposite.
“As a child I was told that faith can move mountains. When we believe in a better future, we create hope. That’s why I tattooed HOPE on my fingers – so I’ll never lose it, even when my work challenges it,” says founder Anja Ringgren Lovén.
Land of Hope has the passion and will to fight for vulnerable children. We hold a strong belief that everyone can contribute and make a positive difference for others. Our story is a tough fight against superstition and its cruel consequences – but above all, it’s a story about hope.
When you buy the cat Hope, you pass hope on to others.
Because there is always hope!
The cat Hope is designed by Spring Copenhagen and made from FSC®-certified oak and maple. You can buy it on Spring Copenhagen’s webshop and at selected retailers – while stocks last.
